Satisfactory if you plan to use this stand to support your doll on a shelf. Will not support standing doll during play. Oh well.

It's been really hard finding a doll stand for 18" dolls worth buying. This one does the job well, and is inexpensive. Didn't give it 5 stars, because I'll wait and see if it holds up. Think it will, tho'.
