I paid five dollars and change for this set on clearance in a store. Had I paid any more for it, I would have been really mad.
There is nothing to recommend it, except for the plastic fashion plates themselves, which are like old-school fashion plates and must be functional as such if you can find a creative way to use them with crayons on paper.
The "dresses" are thin, stretchy cloth, not hemmed all the way around the bottom, so the bottoms roll up. Even without the rolling, they are not long enough to cover the whole pattern underneath. Some of the pattern is rubbed onto the seams and some of the transfer "ink" gets rubbed onto parts of the dress where there is no pattern. It takes a LOT of HARD rubbing to get the "ink" to transfer the pattern all the way. Be prepared to sacrifice one side of one dress for practice. That leaves 3 sides for decorating.
Stretching the dresses onto the pattern really takes some work and I was pretty sure the side seams would tear, but they did not.
There is only one marker included, and it is not made for this type of fabric. The ink bleeds and is much darker than the package shows, although it does lighten over time. Still, it would be nice to be able to see what you were coloring as you were coloring it. The stickers for decorating-well, if you can't imagine how well paper-backed foil stickers work on satiny, stretchy material, let me tell you: not well.
Overall, this product was anything but "easy" (as the package emphatically claims), the design choices are severely limited, and the choices of materials included were just cheap and thoughtless. The package claims it's for ages 5+, but Amazon has it rated for 3+. I doubt anyone younger than 8 could make this product work without adult help. Thumbs way down on this one.great product my daughter love it was a birthday present she to make the dress and decorate them all by her self
