My daughter loves these books and as a result she wanted one of these dolls. She truly adores her doll and with the various accesories that you can get for these dolls... they truly make for great fun. These dolls are beautiful and well crafted. Pay attention to the directions on how to care for these dolls though. Also, truly not recommended for children under the age of 8 years old... unless your daughter is considered mature for her age. Children younger than 8... are usually not prepared to care for these. The price listed here is a bit rediculous.

However, if you look up the Life of Faith web site... then you can purchase this doll for about half of the price listed here on Amazon. You will also find that their catalog is full of wonderful accesories that your daughter will love.

My 10 year old daughter has had Violet for over a year now and she still loves it!! My younger daughter has Millie Kieth (she also loves it). The doll is very well made, the hair is very high quality and easy to braid or style in many ways just read the instructions with taking care of the hair, and the clothes are AMAZING! They are very detailed with lace and ribbons and No velcro, but hand sewn snaps. The body is all molded plastic not a cloth body like American Girl, which I think is much nicer. It looks much more realistic and you don't see tan material around the neck when you have certain outfits on.

The dolls are based on books by Mission Press so you can play out the era and life of what your doll was created from. My daughter is just getting into the books so they would be more difficult for younger girls to understand.

The life of faith doll clothes and accesories are EXCEPTIONAL. They are quite expensive, but if you want something that will last, not tear at the seams or have velcro that gets stuck to everything, and be able to pass these on to your grandkids than the clothes are worth it.

Overall I highly recommend these dolls, but I have just recently found out that they stopped making them a few months ago. It really is to bad, because they are beautiful.
