I bought this doll directly from Carpatina, and when it came, it was several shades darker. When I emailed customer service about this, they said I would have to pay for shipping and they would decide whether or not to refund me the purchase price once they received it. I guess they have no need for repeat customers! I paid roughly $15 to have this shipped to me, and then to ship it back certified would cost $22. To be out $37 dollars and not get a sure answer that my money on the doll would be refunded is obnoxious to say the least. I had to open a dispute with my credit card company, and got my money back that way. Unfortunately, even if it is Carpatina's error, or any defects in their products which they never admit to, even when shown pictures, they will never pay for return shipping (which companies should if they sell you defective products) or guarantee that they would even return the cost of what you purchased, since they tell you they will decide if your claim is valid. Sounds pretty shady to me!! Do not but anything from this company, if you value honest retailers.

This doll is beautiful, with a long mane of brown hair to its waist. The doll has VERY, VERY tan skin tone, not like the picture shown.

This is a nicely made, quality doll at a reasonable price. Her hair and skin coloring are beautiful -she is even prettier than her pictures. She was on sale because they have changed the dress she comes with. The Carpatina clothing is very well made and unique. They also offer patterns for those who want to sew for the dolls. I tried to buy this doll from the Carpatina website but couldn't have her sent to an address not attached to PayPal. Shipping from their website is about half of Amazon's, for no apparent reason. She is an excellent choice for children and adults who want a well-made, lovely doll at a reasonable price.

We purchased the JULIA doll for my grandchild in South Carolina and my daughter said it arrived beautifully packed..it was her first doll and my daughter wanted her to have one that she could style her hair with..IT WAS BEAUTIFUL AND PERFECT. What a great gift that was. The doll was also washable and not a fragile, keep on the shelf keepsake...Lita
