Does this toy teach young girls moral lessons about the responsibilities of pet ownership and the importance of cleaning up their mess? Or, is the feces-eating devil dog teaching impressionable young kids that its ok to consume their own excrement? Who knows, and who cares. I'm sure the kids will enjoy it. I bought two. I gave one to the Toys for Tots drive, and plan on keeping the other for myself.. I can't wait to show the gang at work!

this doll is hillarious. my six year old daughter loves barbie and HAD to have the "pooping dog". everyone poos....so do animals....isn't it teaching kids to be responsible and pick up your pets poo so others don't have to step in it? don't most states have pooper scooper laws? anyway, it's not like it's real poo, they are little brown magnetic pellets that look like tic tacs. parts are small so be careful with smaller children. barbie and dog are great!Best Deals for Barbie Forever Barbie Doll with Tanner the Dog
I bought this Barbie to be part of a collection I have had for MANY years. Luckily I purchased two of them so I could open and "play" with one of them. I took the opened Barbie and Tanner to my classroom...and you guessed it...the kids loved it!! Even the boys. Now the really interesting thing is that my students are not little kids...they are high school students. I teach art at a public high school and I do bring interesting things into class to spark creativity, so having a Barbie and her dog on my desk was not all that unusual. What I did find unusual was that boys in the class would ask me if they could take it from my desk "to check it out."I would say that this was a good purchase even if all the enjoyment I get from it is a chuckle every now and then from watching a high school football player scoop the little metal poops while trying to keep Barbie on her toes!
