My mom got this as a gift for my daughter when she was about 2-3 years old. So we have had it for two years. At the time, she couldn't recognize her letters or play it very well, but she still loved the songs and pushing the buttons on her "computer." Her older brother, who was in kindergarten, took it over to play the games, and practice the letter recognition, word spelling, and simple math games. Now my daughter and her twin play it regularly and do very well on the games. My daughter refers to it whenever she needs to remember a letter. And the baby brother, now 15 months old, also takes it and hauls it around and pushes buttons on it.The only reason I don't give it five stars is because it has a bit of a pushy environmental slant--"R is for Recycling", and because there is one game no one can figure out.
My daughter loves the hummingbird feeder that came with it. It has been very durable: the exterior, the buttons, and the battery has lasted very well. In fact, even though my boys are fine with using it, being Thumbelina and flowery, I have been looking to see if Oregon Scientific also makes a "boy" version of this same product.
