I haven't purchased this yet but wanted to. I won't be purchasing it from this store since the price at $56 is double the $28 price tag on the American Girl Doll website. Granted it is backordered on the American Girl Doll site and not available for Christmas. I understand a somewhat inflated price given the shortage in current supply and the fact that this retailer needs to make a margin on top of what it purchased it for. But I still say this much of a markup is absurd and makes me skeptical about other products this company sells.
I also always thought that Amazon retailers had competitive pricing but am finding that you do have to check now since I am finding prices at local retailers that are competitive and sometimes cheaper than the Amazon price.
I still love Amazon and do plenty of shopping here but just have to do a little more research now.
