Ana Ming is one of my all-time favorites, and I have quite an extensive collection of play dolls. This is an extremely high-quality doll. The hair is very easy to style, and does not fray or matt like I have had happen to my American Girl and other dolls. The face on Ana Ming is very lovely and well done, the photos do not do it justice. The vinyl is easy to care for, and lasts forever. She has pretty sleep eyes with nice lashes, and stands very easily on her own. Any girl (young and old) can loose themselves for hours in the Fantasy Adventures world.
The best part: The outfits made by Carpatina are all simply exquisite! They are EASY for a child to dress BY THEMSELVES too! One thing to watch for is the velcro closures on some of the clothes, I find I need to remind the girls to be careful not to get the doll's hair tangled in it. Shoes are easy to slip on and off, and retain shape very well. One advantage to these dolls is all the extensive American Girl, Life of Faith, and Magic Attic accessories fit her.

The doll has a face of a Chinese woman in her 30's, not the face of a young girl. And, her face doesn't present the innocent look as on other dolls. Contrary to all the advertising I've seen, this doll CANNOT wear the shoes and clothes of other popular 18-inch dolls. The clothes will be too big, and the shoes simply fall off of her. In fact, I'm not sure this doll is 18 inches tall.
