I thought most people would like to know that the doll has only one strand of hair (different color than the rest) that changes color. You can see it in the picture if you look closely. My daughter spent a good ten minutes dipping all of the dolls hair in hot and cold water, being dissapointed because it didn't work. I then went to see if I could help her and discovered that there is only one strand that changes from lavender to light blue. By dipping the whole strand of hair, the color change was so minor, that she didn't even notice. When I used the mini sponge included and changed only a small part of the hair strand, I was then able to see two different colors. My daughter and I were both dissapointed. It is still a neat mermaid barbie, but don't buy it expecting a dramatic hair color change.

I agree with the reviewer from Ohio. I was searching online for help in how to get the hair to change colour as my girls and I were having no luck. We tried again and could see the small streak change. It is more noticeable on the pink Barbie as it changes to blue. The purple one changes to lavender so is even harder to see. It is a fun bath toy, but not the dramatic hair colour change any of us were hoping for.

My 3 yr old daughter loves Mermaids and loves purple so this was right up her alley. Unfortunately the hair does not change at all and was disappointed with that. My daughter kept saying "maybe a little long" and was being so hopeful but the hair never changed. Still fun for her to play with anyway.
