I'm an adult fashion doll collector who loves the sis dolls. They all look gorgeous to me, and this one is no exception. I'm just tremendously disappointed at what Mattel has done with the basic doll bodies. When I was growing up in the seventies, even the most basic Barbie or friend had a durable body with a twisting waist and bendable knees. And until recently, that was the case. But the Kara doll doesn't move below the shoulders, except for her thigh/hip joint. I can't see her lasting through much serious play. Also, her hair that looks so pretty in the box turns out to be thin and apparently poor quality. I got this Kara on sale for $7, and at that price she was worth it to me, but I'm glad I didn't pay more. I don't know how happy a child would be with this doll--she is beautiful, but she can't do much and she might not be very durable. I wouldn't pay $10 or more for her.

The doll in the picture was not the doll which arrived to my home. It was a Kara doll from S.I.S collection, but was totally different from the picture. It was other model, because the doll has the same face, but different outfit and her hair is short and curly. I think that seller should advice me that he/she does not have the doll that I had ordered, instead of sending me a similar doll.
