Thanks to this great balance beam, I am now father of the year! My daughter loves it and so do I! Shocked by the sour reviews. It is just as described and shipped super fast. Arrived in time for Christmas. Solid wood and beautiful finishing work. Saved me hours in time if I were to make one myself. Why hassle? The wood itself would cost nearly half the price. It was just as described!! Glad I ordered! Thanks for offering this alternative to the AG one that was far more and out of stock.

I was surprised to come back for a second balance beam and see all the harsh reviews. We LOVE ours! It is perfectly sized and made of solid maple...not cheap craft wood as others have accused. My thought when reading other reviews was.....if you thought that you could make it yourself, why didn't you? You can see from the photos that its not a complex piece so if you're a wood worker, why didn't you just make it. Its not fair to give the item a poor rating when you got what is described and pictured. The description states solid wood. It makes no claim of a fabric cover yet one reviewer complains that it doesn't have a fabric cover. It IS finished, unlike some claims. Its beautifully finished with a clear varnish, which shows the beautiful, natural grain of the wood....much like most REAL balance beams. I appreciate that its made in the USA and is free of harmful plastics. I prefer wood toys for the quality and safety for my girls. When you have 3 to pass toys down to, you appreciate real quality. The difference between this and homemade is the finishing and the solidness of construction. The corners are rounded. The screws are covered and finished. You have to look REAL close to see how it has been assembled as you cannot see any hardware. It is smooth and well finished. As far as being a few sticks....I don't think so! My 40 pound daughter has been sitting on one and its holding up just fine. I'd be willing to bet that my daughters could use it themselves! Sure, its not a complex piece of furniture with many pieces but you do realize that you're buying a balance beam, right? They're pretty simple. I'd rather buy them than spend hours upon hours sanding and applying multiple coats of clear varnish. Its a sure win in my opinion! We need 2 because our dolls can't stand waiting to take turns! Super fun and WELL worth the money!! Back for a second!

Very disappointed! Not worth the money!! Anyone could put a few pieces of wood together and come up with the same toy, or even better! Packaged very poorly as well! Shame on you for selling this!!

I ordered this beam for my daughter for her American Doll. When I got it, it was in a box, not wrapped in anyway. It was literally made of 5 wood sticks. It wasn't glazed or painted or wrapped with a piece of vynal or fabric on the part that you would walk. I'm surprised I didn't need to put it together. It was like one of those wood pieces you'd buy at a craft store so you could paint it yourself! It was not worth the money and certainly NOT exciting to look at! If I wouldn't have fancied it up myself, I don't think my daughter would have even known what it was when she opened it up for Christmas!
