The girls love this Barbie. In some ways it's best for a first Barbie because the clothes don't come off; her top is painted on, and the skirt is sewn on. She does come with a ton of little accessories to make older girls happy, though.

When purchasing this Barbie doll i was unaware that the "dress's" top was painted on! It arrived and when i opened the box i was upset to find out that the Barbie wasn't wearing anything on top but a glitter painted on top! Highly inappropriate for a young girl. Unfortunately i bought 2 of them so my daughter would have the purple and the pink one---it's too bad i wasted double the money.
