This is a beautiful doll and I bought this doll and another type of generation doll for my other daughter. However, both daughters were highly disappointed after their first attempt to play with the dolls because the hair messed up almost immediately. This doll in particular knotted and matted when my daughter tried to comb the hair. The long pretty hair was one of the main reasons for purchasing this doll. I was ready to invest in many of the other accessories for both my daughters, looking at this doll line as a cheaper alternative to the American dolls. But now, I am considering the American dolls. If the manufacturer could fix the quality problem on these dolls this could have potential of being a big hit with young girls in my opinion. There is no comparison between this and an AG doll. I bought this doll for my 5 year old, hoping it would be an easy way to get out of the expense of buying an AG doll. Well, within 2 days the hair was a tangled mess. I've tried everything to fix itdetangler, conditioner, fabric softener, a hairdryer. It is beyond hope now. My daughter still likes the doll, but now that she has a "real" AG doll, I see the quality of the hair is in a whole different ballpark.
