We purchased this for our daugher (3 1/2) for Christmas because she loves princesses and we wanted a castle and not a dollhouse. We loved how easy it was to assemble less than 1/2 and hour! We also loved that it was so open which allowed her easy access to play with it and move people around. One unexpected nice quality is that the pieces store nicely in the top two sections where the flags go. The swivel base makes it easy for her to play with it any which way, and she likes that she can sit in the corner and turn the castle around and her brother doesn't bother her. It is beautifully constructed and painted the figurines and furniture are very nice! We originally didn't receive the furnture but once manufacturer was contacted they sent out right away.

We were disappointed that the measurements for the size of the castle. That quotes given on the "bio" for the product are not accurate at all! We measured from the tips of the flag to the base of the playset and they were almost a foot less than quoted, the length and width were also off so much that we called the company thinking we had received the wrong castle! We also thought we had maybe received the wrong castle because in one of the pictures it shows what looks like a three level castle two stairways and a bedroom set in the top level the castle does not come with two stairways or a bedroom set. Our daughter obviously doesn't care about this but for the price we were disappointed about it.

I purchased this on cyber Monday through Amazon from Wayfair. It was around $135. I'd seen this item in an expensive toy catalog and then watched the videos on You Tube of the super easy assembly. It is amazingly easy to assemble. No screw driver needed and i liked that it could easily be stored flat. The design is amazing, but the execution is lacking. If they let the paint dry before boxing it up, that probably would have helped the appearance in several places. The drawbridge does not work. There is a hole for the rope to hold it open, but the rope is in another spotglued. There is a magnet to keep it shut, but it does not work. I received the set with out furniture. That in and of itself would be worth about $25 per room. And since this was commented on 2 years ago, i would think the problem would have been corrected. The wood block people are cute, but only painted on one side. And the princess's cheeks are only rosey on one cheek (needs more paint). The stairs are pretty scuffed up too, although i do think it was packed well. I do not think what i received is worth more than $60.00. I should have gone with Fisher-price. At least you know what you're getting.

UPDATE:

Customer Service at Wayfair is extremely accommodating. They would send me a replacement, but not until after Christmas. Instead I will sadly be returning the castle at their expense.

I bought this for my granddaughter who loves it. It was quite easy to put together and it's very sturdy. Great toy to encourage imaginery play because while we play "Princess" together, she also enjoys playing alone.
