I can't get this thing to shut off. It barely swims and will not stop running. Motor is really loud. Headed for the trash, what a waste of money

My granddaughter saw this on TV and wanted it for her birthday. So being the wonderful Grandmother that I am I bought hoping it would live up to it promises and low and behold it does everything it's supposed to do. She was so happy.

Our girls (3 and 5) saw these mermaids on TV, and wanted them badly. They saved their money, and both eventually got them. They took great care of them, and loved them very much. After a couple of months of light use, the mermaid's tail began to crack and open up. The mechanical drive mechanism only worked a few times properly. Great concept for a toy, but poor quality and workmanship.

Have to agree with the 1 stars here. My eight year old daughter wanted it after seeing it at a toy store. I got it for her birthday, but the tail only wags slowly not fast or powerful enough to actually 'swim' and you have to unscrew the back and take out the two AAA batteries to get it to stop. Really Boring Toy!

My daughter received this doll for her tenth birthday. We can't even get the motor to come on. After changing batteries, daughter is not very happy. I am going to try and return this to the company. They need to take this off the market if the product doesn't actually work.
