My complaint: this doll is AWFUL for any child who wants to play dress up. Her outfit is permanent, but appears to be removable. VERY frustrating for my kid who can feel the loose shirt and shorts and wants desperately to take the clothes off. Putting other doll clothes over The permanent outfit is really not ideal.
Another note: her hairstyle is annoying. Her ponytails are sewn in. Loosely. What this means is that if any stray hairs loosen from the pigtail (which they did within 1 week of light play), you cannot fix it!
Update July 2011: UGH this DOLL. My almost 3 year old loves this doll more than ever, and it drives me BATTY. My husband and I will quote her in moments of extreme frustration: "sometimes I like to go UPSIDE DOWN!". This is shorthand for "I AM LOSING MY MIND". Dollie is beloved, and as a well loved doll, she is freaking FILTHY. And I cant take her dumb pants or her ugly shirt off to clean her. And I cant stick her in the wash because she's got electronic guts. I cut her horrid ponytail holders out, so I can at least neaten up her hairstyle but who cares anymore? This doll is a thing of nightmares and my child adores her. UGH.
Update July 2012: My now almost 4 old still loves this crappy doll. Thankfully, the batteries have died (Oh sweet Jesus, THANK GOD.) But my god, HER HAIR. We do put her hair in our own ponytail holders, but the hair is such low quality that she looks like a little blonde rat nest. Why do our children love the crappiest things?

I bought this for my five year old and she just loves it. It says many phrases, and reacts to your child. When she begins to hold it, it says, "I like when you hold me mommy." Just received this toy from Amazon today and had to take it out of the packaging to play with it myself... and this 59 year old grandmother had a BLAST !! It's going to my 6 year old granddaughter but maybe I should get another for myself. Wish they had dolls like this when I was a kid. This abomination wipes out 40 years of confidence in Fisher Price. The doll is sold with expensive accessories and outfits. However, she arrives in an outfit which is part of the doll. The arms are connected only to her blouse, -which is also connected to her neck with a permanent plastic ring. In other words, one must dismember the doll to change her clothes! In her new outfit, she would be armless, and perhaps headless. The outfits sold for this doll are worthless and the doll is scarey. You can't tell this til you cut her out of the packing. That's how you discover that this adorable little lady is defective and perhaps frightening to her new owner. I bought this doll at the store yesterday and was surprised that the least little movement set her off. She talked all the way to the register, all the way to the car and all the way home. I was worried she'd wear herself out before getting to my granddaughter. I looked for an off switch but couldn't find one without taking the doll out of the box. Since I'm shipping it to PA for Christmas I didn't want to disturb the packaging. She'll probably talk while I wrap & pack her then talk while being shipped. Hopefully she'll bring a smile to the package deliverers.
