I ordered the bunk bed on October 16, 2012, for my granddaughter to go with the american girl doll i gave her...plenty of time before Christmas! When it came, I loved the bed...however the top railing came with a crack in it..I called Laurent Doll immediately on a Monday in November when I went to put it together..they said they would send out a new railing immediately..would have by that Friday..well, it is now December 18th..and after many phone calls and being told it was sent via fed x. on several different dates, I still do not have the replacement piece..no one is returning my phone calls or my emails at Laurent Doll...not even an apology for my disappointment. Bed is really cute but with a cracked top railing piece, it won't last. Customer service apparently is non existent at Laurent Doll company! My granddaughters big Christmas gift will have to be a no show and this Grammy is very sad and upset!

It came with no instructions.I got them sent over email, and then it was OK with a phone call.

Best Deals for Doll Bunk Bed

Quality and workmanship are very nice (Chinese of course) and it was quite beautiful when I got it together and made some bedding for it. The problem was getting it together -process is counterintuitive. You think it's going to be one of those "turn the screw and it clicks in" but it's more old fashioned elbow grease that wins out in the end.

I've had this bunk bed for almost three months, and it still stinks to high heaven. I can't even begin to imagine what they use in this thing to make it smell so bad, but the company doesn't seem concerned at all -they told me to wash it with a wood cleaner. I did as they instructed several times (and yes, I had to buy the wood cleaner -they even told me which brand, I guess they get this complaint a lot) and it didn't make a drop of difference.

I even placed it outside in a sheltered area for six full weeks, and the smell still won't go away.

I'd return it, but the company wants me to eat the shipping fees both ways. My daughter loves the bed, but I am terrified to let her play with it.

The girls love it. It is attractive and well made. It was expensive but it will last. Looks fantastic in their room. I was glad it wasn't just another plastic item.
