This doll is very cute. I like that my daughter can play with a "teen" looking doll that does not look trashy. Kellan comes ready for winter sports with snow lodge attire and her own sled. Her face is cute, with adorable freckles and unnaturally large eyes common on these types of dolls. An improvement would be hair of a realistic length that is not so cheap that it immediately tangles and frays, but I know nothing of doll manufacturing and it seems all doll hair is made of this same weak material. When you remove Kellan's boots she has only stumps that are made to connect with the boots or other Moxie doll feet. Unless you have other Moxie dolls you cannot switch up their foot gear/attire.

Our girls (3 and 5) saw these mermaids on TV, and wanted them badly. They saved their money, and both eventually got them. They took great care of them, and loved them very much. After a couple of months of light use, the mermaid's tail began to crack and open up. The mechanical drive mechanism only worked a few times properly. Great concept for a toy, but poor quality and workmanship.

Have to agree with the 1 stars here. My eight year old daughter wanted it after seeing it at a toy store. I got it for her birthday, but the tail only wags slowly not fast or powerful enough to actually 'swim' and you have to unscrew the back and take out the two AAA batteries to get it to stop. Really Boring Toy!

For Collectors:

Every inch of this car is covered in cool detail a gargoyle gearshift, werewolf tail lights, filigree skull hubcaps, spiderweb seats and front grill, and art nouveau scroll work everywhere. If you have the Scaris Monster High Dolls, the car is a wonderful addition to the collection.

For Play:

I believe this car will hold up to standard play, it seems quite sturdy. There are fixed seat belts, and seating for four dolls. I did check, and the dolls seem to easily fit in and out of the seat belts with no problems. The only area I see that might be a little weak for play is the windshield, but I think it would take quite a bit of force to damage it.

In Conclusion:

As with all Monster High toys I would recommend getting this directly from Amazon ($24.99), and not a third party seller as they tend to ask ridiculous prices.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I cannot say that I am all that much into Monster High and I probably would not admit it on the internet if I was. So I left most of the testing of this product to my three daughters, 10, 7, and 6.

When I took the car out of the box for my kids, my initial impressions were quite positive. The level of detail on the vehicle was quite good for a plastic car. There are various spooky details on various components. The dash has a spider web inlay, the shifter and tail lights are gargoyles, and the steering wheel and wheel covers kind of has a medieval cross design.

I gave it to my kids and by the end of the day, I had one of the girls come up to me and tell me that it broke already. There is a seatbelt in the trunk/back seat area that holds the dolls in place. That seatbelt broke completely off, so at this point the back seat is useless.

The girls continued playing with it and at the end of the month, they gave me their list of pros and cons with the car.

My girls loved the idea the car had a trunk where they could put the dolls' clothes and such. They really liked the fact that the car could seat 4 dolls, assuming the seat belt did not break. They also loved the detail of the car and really liked the shifter and the fact the car had cup holders.

My girls were really disappointed in the fact the rear seatbelt broke. They also showed me that when they put their dolls in the front seat, they sank way down in the car. The seat belts in front were a bit tough to put on as well.

My oldest daughter really liked the details in the car and she gave it 4 stars, deducting a star for the broken seatbelt. My middle daughter was a bit less impressed by the details. She also cited the broken seatbelt and gave it 3 stars. My youngest daughter was much less forgiving about the fact the car broke. She gave the car a 1 star rating.

Personally, I will give kudos to the details and the overall sturdiness of the car. However, I can imagine a parent having to deal with a crying kid if they have the same thing happen to them as we did and having to deal with trying to return the toy and getting a replacement. Based on other reviews, I think our car breaking is an exception rather than the norm. However, I cannot change the fact ours broke the first day. The average rating of my kids would be 2.67 stars. Factoring in my opinion, I give the item 2 stars.

My almost 9 year old daughter was thrilled to get this from the Easter bunny. She has quite a collection of Monster High dolls and they are happy to have wheels so they can get around. Their drink cups that came with the school fit into the cup holders, so they stay hydrated. The back trunk opens up for storing their shopping bags. Seatbelts go into the top sides of the car.

You do have to be careful that their long hair stays in the car so as not to get caught in the wheels.

The only thing I don't like about the car, and why I docked it a star, is there are no side doors. It makes getting the dolls in and out harder, and honestly, how can you have a car with no doors?

But, my girl doesn't care. She's playing with it right now and is very happy, so I'm happy. I would definitely recommend for any MH fan.

I worked an hour to remove the sticker glue residue from the doll dress holder and 9 hangers. I love the product, hate the glue residue nightmare that I went through to get it ready to give as a gift. Please address this issue so others don't have to deal with this. Goo Gone didn't even phase it, it took peanut butter and had to re apply and let it sit and scrape with a plastic scraper several times to finally get it gone. Too much work!

We bought this as part of the Potty Training in a Day push to get our 3 yo back into the potty after a relapse happened after we moved homes. The doll is cute and has the nice Corolle vanilla scent which is a nice change from the usual stinky plastic smell that these water-ok dolls often have. It worked well for the purpose of having my daughter teach the doll how to go potty and going through the process. Fair warning, the doll tended to leak when sat up with the bladder full, but this wasn't too much of a problem for our purposebaby had an accident. Since it is used for "potty training" it would be nice if the doll was slightly more mature looking, since the 8 month old appearance and the bottle and pacifier are relatively age-inappropriate, but my daughter didn't seem to mind. Would be nice if it had even a sippy cup appearance for the bottle and maybe some hair on the head. We did end up losing the bottle, so that made the feed and pee function useless. We could buy another bottle, but I'm just not really that interested in doing so, and the doll has pretty well served it's purpose in the potty training department. My daughter just pretends the pee and poop now with the doll (I had put raisins in the potty initiallymy daughter was shocked that the baby pooped!) Overall a good doll, would definitely recommend for potty training!

I thought this doll would be a hit with my 2.9 year old daughter. She loves dolls and doll play, and is potty training. I thought this one would capture her imagination. It didn't, and she doesn't use it. After the novelty of receiving it wore off (a couple of days), she resumed play with a softer, smaller doll, and has barely picked up this one. I notice she gets frustrated that the doll's arms have limited mobility. She wants the hands to come together to hold the pacifier and bottle, but the arms only go up and down. She also gets frustrated that she cannot pull up the underwear on her own. (The doll is made of a hard and inflexible plastic, and it is difficult even for me to pull up the tight underpants.) As for the fact that it can be given water and put on a potty to pee, she enjoys these features but not enough to spend time struggling to make these features work. In fact, she cannot independently get the doll to pee on demand, as it only works correctly in that manner if you feed it its bottle while it is seated on the potty. Obviously a toddler does not have the coordination to actually bottle feed a hard, non-pliable doll and also hold it upright on a potty, so that the water doesn't leak everywhere. Instead, my daughter uses this doll's binky and potty for comforting and pottying her other dolls. I attribute her lack of interest in this doll to the hardness of its body, the limited mobility of its arms, and the fact that she cannot manipulate this doll independently in the manner the doll is intended to work. Additionally, its baldness is a minus for my daughter, who enjoys touching the hair on the head of her other dolls. She has also expressed confusion about why a "tiny baby" would sit on a potty to pee, like a "big girl". This doll has the features of an eight month old baby, so it is illogical that such an infant-looking doll would be engaged in potty training. I thought my tot would overlook this fact, but she didn't. Overall this doll is WAY overpriced and is much ado about nothing. Thankfully I got it on sale for $37. Still, I view it as a wasted 37 dollars.

I bought this baby when I was potty training my daughter. It was recommended by the book I was using. Its the only doll that stated "pee's on demand"....well, she pottied right after drinking her bottle, not on demand. In order for this to actually work correctly, she had to drink while sitting on the potty chair. She then continued to leak even after she was emptied. My daughter loves this doll and plays with her all the time, but as an effective potty training tool...it didn't work out so well. Pretending with a doll would have been easier and less expensive.

This is not really a toy, but meant for older kids (like 12 on up) and adults who collect dolls or who maintain period-piece dollhouses. Her arms and legs don't move much and you can't style her hair or change her clothes so little kids looking for Barbie-dolls won't really find her all that much fun.

But she's great for collectors. She's 4 inches tall with a wild, energetic mop of chestnut hair, pale blue eyes (painted), and a sweet little face. She wears an a blue-and-white striped dress with white cuffs and collar trimmed with navy ribbon, a lace-trimmed petticoat, and lace-trimmed pantaloons. Her black boots are painted on to knee-height. Overall, her costume looks very authetic and period-specific to the Victorian times. Recommended!

Barbie's 2013 basic mermaid line is really confusing.

Her face was bad as she had very wonky eyes and her hair quality is not up to par from what we have come to expect from older Barbie. The downhill quality of Mattel is really evident here.

She has minimal articulation and a molded on top that doesn't make sense and is an evident example of Mattel cutting corners . She does not look like a mermaid whatsoever. Her "tail" looks like a tablecloth, it even has your typical gaudy flower design all over it, it looks nothing like a fishtail.

Its really sad when compared to older barbie dolls like "Mermaid Barbie" from 1991 and "Mermaid Fantasy Barbie" from 2002 which are some of the most beautiful dolls around.

This is a great little set to go with the Critters. Very well made, detailed and cute. You get complete bedding for the two beds, which can be used together or separately. You also get posters and school supplies to go with the dresser. We used some handi-tack to stick the posters on the wall of our dollhouse. Really fun! You should know that you do, indeed, get some very small parts with this set, (contrary to the other review). There are, for example, pencils that are extremely tiny perhaps less than half an inch. If you have very small kids you may want to hold back the tiniest parts.

These little bunk beds are really cute. They can be stacked or put side by side. They come with a tiny ladder, two little mattresses, two pillows, and two blankets. They're made out of plastic, but are really nice looking.

My two and a half year old loves putting her rabbits to bed in them (they're just long enough for the bunnies' ears). There aren't any tiny parts with this set, so it's safe for younger ones (or children who have very young siblings).

I highly recommend Calico Critters products. They seem to be fairly durable considering how tiny they are. And my daughter (and me too!) loves to play with them.

My daughter is 9 who is turning 10 soon. I thought it is too immature at her age to play the Critters, but she loves to play with them. I think generally kids love these tiny pieces that looks so real. My son who is 4 sometimes joins in to play. He loves Legos, too, but I think it is the same reason, something about those little pieces!

Originally, my daughter asked for the regular brown bunk bed set that comes with just blankets and pillows. When I came here on Amazon, I found this white bed set and I was not sure if I should spend $10 more to get all the extra stuff with the beds, but I am glad I did. They are so cute! Comes with little stuffed animals (one squirrel and one teddy bear) to sleep with for the critters. My kids are thrilled to open the box.

The Calico Critters Children's Bedroom Set is exactly as pictured. It is well-made and really cute. A few of the little booklets do not stay closed (because of their small size) and are difficult to arrange in the dresser. But, all in all, it is a fun arrangement. My four-year old granddaughter is enjoying it. She likes to take the beds apart and rearrange the bedding. Often, the bunnies find their beds on the patio, where they can sleep outside.

My daughter received this set of Calico Critters furniture, along with the nursery and the dollhouse, for Christmas. I myself always wanted Calico Critters growing up, so I was so excited to give them to her this past Christmas.

The Children's bedroom set is so adorable. And for plastic, they are very good quality. It comes with lots of little pieces. I know many parents find that annoying, but honestly, she loves them so much that I'm ok with it!

I took off one star because a few of the teeny tiny pieces are just little bits of paper, which is kind of pointless as they don't last long, but other than that, this set is adorable, high quality, and a LOT of fun!
