My daughter, who is obsessed with Littlest Pet Shop, purchased this set for her best friend's 7th birthday. Her friend liked LPS okay but definitely not as much as my daughter... After she received this gift, I'd say she likes LPS a lot more. I'd like to begin by saying I bought this at walmart for $19.97 for my 4yr old's 4th b-day. I had previously bought her the fairy fun roller coaster set and thought this was the perfect addition for that. It comes with 8 pets: the large fairy empress pet with wings that light up, 4 normal sized fairies, and 3 teensie (tiny) sized friends(moth, bat and ant). These last three can fit on the rolling sleds that comes with the fairy roller coaster.Now, about the fairy empress, when the wings lights up it is very pretty. My daughter likes to turn off the light and watch it glow in the dark. The product features above are very incorrect. The empress fairy does NOT :
"glows when you hold her in your hand
Your light-up pet works best on slightly moist hands.
To reactivate her lights, pull her away from your palm and then put her back"
Please disregard this.(Update sept 7 2013-it seems they have since changed the product features and the incorrect features are no longer there) The instructions that came with the set says that you have to press the button on the top of the pet for it to glow, and thats exactly how it works. It glows three different ways with each button press: slow blink, fast blink,and alternate wings. The light effects last about 5 seconds each time the button is pressed. I wish there was an option to keep the light on so we wouldnt have to keep pressing the button because its really beautiful when lights up. And you should also know that the empress fairy does not have a hole under it like the other pets, so it cant be attached to any LPS structure. Its a great set but I can see where it might need some improvements. But then might cost more hehe. So for the price its great.

My kids just love them! Not only it's something different from what we have here, they are really cute. It's just a pity that many of the rest of the selections can't be ship to Singapore. Hopefully Amazon will release more options, looking forward to it!
