This Angelina Ballerina doll is beautifully made and a nice, large size for little girls to bring around. It is of nice quality and even washes well, as we found out after my daughter spilled juice all over her. The only thing I don't like as much are the positioning of the feet. I'm sure they're meant to be in a ballet position, but her left foot actually points too far backwards and looks twisted. This doesn't bother my daughter at all, though.
The outfit is not removable, nor are the shoes or bow. This helps greatly in not losing outfits anywhere around the house, but also limits what a girl can do with her doll. We found that Angelina fits into American Girl doll clothing (not the shoes), but you have to tuck her tutu underneath it. Still, it's another option.
The doll doesn't do anything or say anything, which we're quite happy about. We've had enough of noisy, active toys around here. It's nice to see my daughter using her imagination and talking to Angelina, then making her answer back. Therefore, as far as imaginative play, I'll give it three stars, but this is the type of toy that is meant to be enjoyed, not to be used as a learning tool necessarily.

I purchased this doll for my 4 year old niece who is in LOVE with Angelina Ballerina. Of all the gifts she received, this was the one present she couldn't put down. She was in love from the moment she saw it, and has since slept with the doll every night since she got it.It's good sized, and great quality! Highly recommend for any Angelina Ballerina fan!

I shopped around before I bought this Angelina doll and it paid off. She is beautiful, great size, and is made well enough for my very active 3 year old ballerina to dance, toss and play with Angelina as her primary doll since her birthday 4 months ago. Even after all the Christmas toys, Angelina holds the the rank of favorite toy. She looks just like the show, her tutu is well made and beautiful with satin ribbon edging. She has a little trouble sitting up on her own on slippery surfaces, but I think she just needs a little more wearing in. I have not washed her yet, but I think in a lingerie bag on gentle cycle, she will do just fine. Highly recommend. The real Madame Alexander Play Collection dolls have pink inside the ears, not purple. From both 2012 and 2011 catalogs. Why pay a premium price for a knockoff?
