Despite misgivings created by some of the reviews here, I went ahead and purchased the Fashion Angels for my daughter. She absolutely loves the set and realized readily enough that the materials included are just to give you ideas. She's begun harvesting all sorts of things -for example, she made an outfit from the cloth on a badly broken umbrella and now is planning something from the ticket stubs from the butcher's counter at the supermarket (although i can't imagine what she'll make with those....). Anyway, i am excited to see how excited SHE is, and i credit the very good (if tiny) pamphlet that comes inside the Fashion Angels set for demonstrating the wealth of possibilities all around. The set has really got her thinking about new ways to see old things, which is wonderful. By the way, I've never written a review before, but since the other positive reviews I read here swayed me and gave me ideas, I thought I'd add my comments as well.

My 7 year old daughter loves crafts (she gets that from her mom). I saw the Fashion Angels at the toy store and thought she'd love them, but did some research first. I was a little worried about the "warnings" that the toy might be misrepresented. I purchased it anyway. I was a little disappointed in the amount of fabric that came with the set, but this is easily remedied by a quick trip to the fabric store, OR BY USING YOUR DAUGHTHER'S OLD BLUE JEANS, play clothes, etc. to make more outfits. We spent one of our holidays with girls aged 6 13 NON-STOP making outfits for the angels. It held ALL of the girls' attention for hours on end. BRAVO to The Bead Shop for a toy that doesn't get pushed to the back of the closet. This will be something that my daughter and I enjoy together for many years to come!

I am 14, and Love fashion angels. They are so much fun, and get me a chance to be creative. It comes with so much stuff, and yoou can build as many outfits as you want. I find it hard to believe, anyone could not like this toy.
