It's hard to rate the series because they are kind of a mixed bag of greats and detractions. On the one hand, they come with great mid century modern chairs that are very cool and useful as display pieces. But the dolls themselves have a very unique and distinct look that can be off-putting. The dolls' heads are very narrow and almost horse-ish in appearance. It's like looking at a monitor with the wrong resolution. The image on Amazon doesn't really show how odd the faces look. It's especially noticeable on the blonde Barbie her face is very scrunched looking so much so that she makes a poor display next to other barbie dolls.
The dolls do have great styling, though the clothes are of average quality, thin satin like material. I would have liked better quality clothing for a collector doll. The pivotal nature is a bonus it can be quiet fun to pose them in different ways. And in keeping with the era, they have real eyelashes.
I don't love the series and I really do like mid century design and the mod movement. The design of the clothing and accessories is spot on just the sculpt of the doll's face and the thin, cheap quality of the clothes kind of ruins it.
