Just to start with, let me explain that my two daughters have eight American Girl dolls between the two of them and at least 50 outfits. We have AG brand clothes, hand made clothes, and some off brand doll clothes like this one. We are very careful with both the dolls and outfits. We put everything on doll hangers in a big doll wardrobe built by my husband. That being said, this outfit was worn three times by the dolls and ripped right in the middle of the fabric.
I think this outfit is cute and different, but I can not justify buying something that flimsey. The rip is not on a seam or someplace easy to fix, it is right in the middle of the front. Out of 50 AG doll type outfits from a variety of sources, this is the first one that we have had to throw out.
In short, I would not buy it again. It is not special enough for an adult collector and too cheap for child play. It was a complete waste of money!
