I bought this for my little girl today. Her little best friend got one for her birthday and my daughter has been wanting it all week. I am very picky about toys. She is 3 years old and when we went today to go and get it, she hugged and said it was her favorite dolly in the whole world. It is a cute little doll and bigger than a barbie. She owns one Barbie Doll and she loves this Dora doll even more. It is all plastic with movable arms and legs. They move in all different directions. She has hair that you can comb and comes with a little hair comb and clips. The hair is soft and in place nicely. You just have to comb it and keep doing that or it may become matted. This Dora doll is actually very pretty. She has a pleasant expression on her face and has that younger look. I love that this is for young girls 3 and up. She has a little girls body and not a woman like body. No curves. Under her clothes which are easily removable, she has on a painted "bikini" top and underwear. All you see is her belly button. She never looks naked. It is the perfect size Dora for her to carry and hug. I only wish they sold changes of clothes for this Dora doll. Another cool thing about this doll is the feet are actual left and right shaped and so are the shoes. So you have to put them on the right way. The shoes actually stay on. Very different from a Barbie Doll. This toy is sturdy and well made. My daughter loves to sit and brush her hair and make her parts move around. The clothes are nice and colorful. Very easy to put on and take off. Good for small little hands. I love this doll for my daughter. I think I even want one! :-) Very cool doll. Worth the price. Wish other companies made more dolls like this for little girls. Overall a great toy.

If there was an option "zero stars" that what I would be giving. And below zero for durability.
Our daughter loves Dora. Highly reluctant to spend that kind of money on a doll from Fisher-Price/Mattel I finally gave up after she grabbed a Dora doll at a playground and we had to pry it off her hands. First this doll has long hair. This did put our little girl off quite a bit. The length of the hair was not an issue in a week of so because it became so tangled that only giving her a haircut solved the mess. The hair is cheap nylon fiber (think a costume wig from a Dollar Store). The outfit is again something rather cheap the frills on the outfit unravelled in no time. Even the little bracelet is molded into the wrist. I am done buying Mattel products. I got a designer doll with cute short bob, made a purple T-shirt and orange pants and now I have a happy camper and this doll went straight to the garbage bin.
And NickelOdeon Dora just earned a ban on our TV.

If your daughter loves dora She will love this doll. I purchased the whole collections. I liked that its not made of the cheap plastic that when you stem on it , it stays sunk in. This doll has been through the sandbox the rain hidden in the backseat for two days as well as played with by a little brother.
