This doll is so cute and her hair really stays quite nice looking even when wet. The crown and skirt were lost almost immediately upon opening her, but it doesn't matter since she can wear other Barbie/princess clothes.

This is fine for a Barbie, and it holds up fine in the water. But there is nothing "Ariel" or Little Mermaid about it except for the intense red color of her hair. No fins, no tail, just a Barbie in a bikini and teeny sarong. I can't say it's misleading because the photo shows that the doll has legs, but someone bought it for my daughter thinking it would have more to do with the Little Mermaid and she was disappointed since it's just a waterproof regular Barbie with red hair. And no fun clothes. If you want Little Mermaid go for one of the other dolls with more mermaid!

The golden haired devious twin wanted an Ariel doll for her birthday. I chose this one rather than the ones with mermaid tales based on price.

The doll is fine as good as an of her Barbies. It has spent a lot of time in the pool with no worse for the wear.

The dark haired innocent twin chose what she calls a "Bad Romance" doll Monster High Travel Scaris Skelita Calaveras Doll which I consider quite bizarre.
