This doll is wonderful in all ways EXCEPT ONE! It has some kind of fragrance on it that is offensive to anyone with sensitivity to fragrances. I am very surprised that a toy by this company and intended for young children would have a strong fragrance added to it. If it weren't for the strong fragrance, this would be a lovely doll.

I bought this for my granddaughter's 3rd birthday. She has just started ballet lessons, has blonde hair, and loves the color purple. How could I go wrong? The doll has been dressed and undressed countless times, and seems sturdy enough to handle it all. Her hair seems to handle well, all the attention it gets it gets too. My daughter just got this doll as a gift and, although I don't see it in the product description here, she is scented. Badly. It's clearly meant to be a pleasant smell but it is pretty overpowering, like bad floral deodorizer. This doll is a "big girl doll" (not a baby) and perfect size for my 3 year old to hold and carry. At 14 inches, she's more manageable than the 18" dolls that are around. Her whole body is molded plastic, no fabric on it anywhere for good or bad depending on what you want.A very slight and pleasant smell is infused into the plastic. We've had other dolls with the same thing, it lasts for a few years. But honestly, I don't know why it bothers some people other reviewers say the smell takes over their house, that is NOT the case with the doll we received. We have to put our nose to the doll to smell anything.
The hair is adorable, and I'm sure my daughter will pull out the "do" one day soon, but I checked, and there is a full head of hair, so no worries.
The only thing that could be improved is if this little dancer had shoulders and hips that were more flexible like a ball joint or something like that. The way it is, the dancer can only move her legs and arms frontward and backward. But it's for a little girl, and it was not expensive at all.
Finding additional clothes for this size doll may prove more difficult than the 18 inch doll, but I'm willing to sew some.

This doll smells awful. it stinks up the whole room. The bun is falling out even though it barely gets played with.
