My first grader and some of her friends are great fans of the Littlest Pet Shop range of toys, and among their favorites are the Blythe dolls. For some reason, the dolls are all called Blythe, but it doesn't matter, we go ahead and rename them anyway:)
This series is called the Pet Sitters series and the difference is that the Blythe dolls come with a pet. The adorable doll, complete with a fashionable beret comes with her own little pet, several small accessories, and a larger comb to brush those lustrous locks!
The beret is removable which is great as my daughter likes to swap accessories on her dolls, and the shoes are easy to take off yet don't fall off easily (unlike some other brand dolls), so I don't imagine those shoes getting lost anytime soon, phew! The clothes can be removed, with some effort.
Now the downside to these dolls is that they are not able to stand on their own, but the dolls do each come with a little stand that helps owners prop them up. Our favorite feature is the large, manga eyes (like those featured in Japanese animation) and the lashes are glued on and feel really soft. Another bonus is that the little pamphlet that comes with each set (showing all the various LPS toys to add to one's collection) also has a little circular sticker (varies from pack to pack). My daughter loves collecting them and placing them in her sticker album. Recommended for children ages 5 and up, and collectors of course!

Well made and cute. The boots are absolutely adorable. The head moves into various positions unlike the Takara Petite Blythe doll which is much more expensive. This is a great doll for kids and collectors alike.Best Deals for Littlest Pet Shop Blythe and Pet - Autumn Glam
My three and a half year old daughter got one of these for Christmas. I was about as thrilled as she was when I saw none other than BLYTHE with the LPS critters! She loves this doll and has been carrying it around, having it play with her LPS animals and her Strawberry shortcakes. It is a well-made figure and very, very cute. I own this Autumn Glam Littlest Pet Shop Blythe. I am a collector of Blythes and Pullips and I would say this mini Blythe is very lovely and also pretty durable. The little Pullips are much more fragile, so I would not recommend for children, only for collectors. These little Blythes, on the other hand should delight collectors and kids alike. In fact, the little girl next door seems to like my collection. She plays gently with them and nothing has been hurt so far. I thought the doll was cute but I guess not appropriate for a 2 year old because of it's size. Did not hold my grand-daughters attention for more than the time it took to free the Blythe from a overly complicated packaging. She seemed excited while I opened it but quickly lost interest and I have not seen her pick it up since. Maybe in a couple of years she'll revisit it with more enthusiasm.
