We bought this doll for our baby girl when she was 3 months old, in 2000. It quickly became her "Lovie" and so we bought 4 more backups (in case one got lost, or was in the wash, etc.) Our daughter developed the habit of rubbing Lovie's hands between her fingers, and so after 12 years, all of the Lovies have holes rubbed through their little nylon hands. You can only stitch them up so many times before they just wear out! Now that daughter is 12, we anticipate Lovie beginning to fall into the annals of "Toys Once Loved"; however, after a bad day (which, in middle school, happens about 3 times a week) we do notice that Lovie is still the first step to soothing a wounded heart. So here I am, ordering yet another Lovie, just in case her (new and intact) hands are needed to soothe our older, but still baby, girl. These little dolls are sweet and soft, with no crinkly sounds, bells, rattles, etc. (which is why we bought her in the first place.) Plus, they wash really well and last forever (barring any self-soothing habits that wear them out, ha.) I really couldn't say how much fun or educational the doll is, since she has spent her life basically sitting on daughter's bed, waiting for a good cry or bedtime. But she gets 5 stars for durability and overall, because she has essentially become a beloved member of our family, 6 times over!Best Deals for Eden Terry Girl Baby Doll
One of my twin girls has had this Dolly since she was 8 months old and it never leaves her side. Hers now has lots of love and even though I have bought multiples there is only one Dolly dolly :)Highly recommend as a gift for a little girl!
Honest reviews on Eden Terry Girl Baby Doll
I received this doll at my baby shower in 2000. My now 13 year old daughter has loved this doll to death. She holds it around the neck, so all of the stuffing has gone into the legs, and she's rubbed off the chin. It washes great (when my daughter can part with it), but is also full of holes from all of the love, and there is just no more material to stitch back together. We used to live in dread of ever losing the doll, and should have had a replacement in reserve. So now we're getting a replacement, for a 13 year old! The old doll will definitely not be discarded, but will have a place of honor at home. This is the one item that she turns to for soothing and the doll is a vital part of our family. Even this young teenager needs a lovie!
My advice: get this for every pregnant woman you know, but buy two, so they always have an extra lovie!
