My 6 year old granddaughter plays with the rectangular slightly larger glamour pool from 2011 with slide but now she plays with this year's circular glamour pool even more. The attached slide, palm tree & lounge chair with cup holders with drinks & little ball make this pool her official favorite. Pool can fit 2 barbies sitting down or 4 barbies standing up. The lounge chair technically can hold 2 barbies sittng down but it looks better with just one doll. Ken takes up a little more room so Ken has to sit alone on lounge chair. The details of how many dolls can fit in the pool is just my observation: it doesn't matter to granddaughters. Sometimes girls like to set up 2 pools next to each other so more can play. Because of this, I'm glad I bought the glam pool from last year & delighted with this year's glam pool. If you have to choose: I would choose this pool over the other one because girls have more fun with the accessories. Note: Always put a large bath towel under the pool for unintentional splashing. This pool takes about 10 minutes to assemble with easy to follow directions.

I'm amazed at the number of 4 and 5 star reviews this pool has received simply because it is such a bear to put together. It arrives with not a single one of the 34-pieces assembled or even arranged into manageable groupings. The ladder is rather difficult to get assembled; just when you think one side is together, the other will slip out of place. The chair was similarly difficult to get to snap into place. Once the pieces did snap, they seemed to hold together well, but it was frustrating to put it together.
The pool itself is rather large, which my daughter loves. She's currently got two adult and two children in the pool, and she likes running the kids down the slide. She plays waterless simply because I don't trust the construction of the pool to keep water inside: the pool base is preshaped plastic, but it is connected to the pink rim through notches (i.e. holes) at the top.
Despite it being round, there is also a definite front and back to this play set. Both the slide and the chair are angled to open up the pool in one direction. Also, the palm tree base is detailed on one side but flat and hollow on the other side.
My daughter seems to really love this pool, but it takes at least three times as much space as the box it comes in. My daughter likes this, but me, not so much. It's just one more thing that we have to find a place for in her room. And because it's not collapsible, I can see this becoming an issue when she's done playing and it's time to clean up.
Overall, the pool's okay, but there are other Barbie playsets and accessories that would have been just as fun and not as unwieldy. Plus, the price just seems rather high for the hassle.

My granddaughter & I enjoy this toy! You need to be willing to deal with some water on the floor, but it is a ton of fun!

This was one of the gifts my 4 year old received for her birthday recently. She loves it! It's easy to put together and took us about 5 minutes to assemble. It comes with instructions but it's somewhat self-explanatory once you start looking at everything. The seat can hold 2 dolls and there are cup holders on each side. The slide snaps into place on the edge of the pool but can come out easily, too, in case your child wants to put the slide right inside the pool. Overall, very cute and durable, easy to assemble, and a big hit for our daughter's birthday. It was a gift but the price here seems reasonable to me.

I bought this for my granddaughter for christmas. When we opened it up for her to play with it was missing parts, mainly the actual pool itsself. Imagine how disappointed she was. I am sending it back but the process to do this is terrible and they will not send a replacement. I am having to pay the cost to send back, I will think twice about buying toys from amazon site. Mean while I still have to go out and buy another present for my granddaughter.
