The hair is perfect. Soft, wild hair. Like a baby waking. If you ever had a waking baby you would know..
The face is beautiful, just like the pic, and the colors and creases are truly lifelike and a masterpiece of art..
The pacifier fits perfectly.
Anatomically correct, but not obscene. Perfect for teaching children about life and body parts.
Every inch of this doll is expertly detailed from the top of it's head to the toes, (which the nails are beautifully manicured and painted)..
I know this is a collectors doll, and it clearly has proven it's worth. But my 9 y/o daughter is going to love it.
It has a faint smell of baby powder, not over-powered, light clean smelling, like a baby.
The weight feels right.
The size is almost life like.
The eyes do not close. But the are really nice to look at.
You can't position it.. The arms and legs are not really positional.
But, it is positioned already in such a lifelike way, that it looks and feels like a real baby.
I am very happy with my purchase. It was expensive.
But this is nothing like your average walmart doll. You can't get this at walmart.
It is amazing and lovely, and well worth the money, if you have an actual appreciation for such artistry.

This doll is not exactly as she looks in the photo. My 5 year old daughtr wanted a So Truly Real doll that was all vinyl and had hair so my options were limited but I thought I had found the perfect doll when I saw this one. After saving birthday and tooth fairy money we finally ordered it after months of looking and were so excited when she arrived. Wow were we disappointed! I was glad that i unpacked her without my daughter around because my reaction would have influenced her but she noticed the same things I did. First of all nothing about the hair is "real" looking. It looks like the fur from a stuffed animal not the hand-applied hair that is in the description. Also the face/head is a very odd shape. The right side is much bigger than the left side and does not look at all normal. The only way to make her look OK is to keep the pacifier in and the hat on. We have not decided if we are going to keep her or not but I would never have purchased her if I had seen the doll in person instead of just looking at her online. If your daughter(s)like baby dolls and treat them like they really are their own baby than you will love these Ashton Drake dolls.We were out at a community event when we saw an 5 year old carrying a beautiful very life like baby doll around. We asked to see it and we were super impressed. Her mother told us it was an Ashton Drake doll and to look them up. Technically the doll is not meant to be played with, its supposed to be for collectors...but lets get real. When you spend that much on a doll you better hope it can hold up to 'childs play'. It is durable, but I wouldn't necessarily get it for a super young girl who would color on it or be unnecessarily rough playing with it. The only caution I would give is about the hair. All the hair is hand applied and is a bit delicate. But it is the best feeling doll hair I've ever come across.
As far as Little Lauren So Truly Realbaby doll goes, she is beautiful! She has a real life feel to her in her skin, hair and weight. Be fair warned that when you take off her diaper she has a real looking pee-pee, to which that is advertised in the doll description.

XMAS gift from my daughter and she loves the baby. The hair looks silly, but otherwise the doll is good quality and very life like.
