My mother-in-law got this doll for my not-quite-2 year-old daughter for Christmas this year, after I put it on her wish list. If only someone had told me this doll has holes in it! It's made for the bathtub, but there are holes in the plastic--in both hands, both feet, and the crotch area. That would be fine if the holes were big enough to actually allow the water to drain out, but they're not! The holes are tiny pinholes, and no matter how I squeeze, the doll still has water inside. That water is going to get NASTY very quickly. I guess I can drill or otherwise enlarge the holes enough to get the water out, but it's completely senseless. My mom got my daughter the swimming baby from Walmart, and it is completely solid, no water can get in. Why in the world would this doll, meant to go in the bathtub, be so different? My daughter loves it, she loves giving her baby a bath, but then we have to let the dolly sit on the potty for 5 days to try to drain her out. Big raspberries to whichever designer/engineer decided on this pattern! Phhhhhhhhhbbbbbbtttt. :-P I wouldn't buy this doll again until they stop putting holes in her. I just hope I can make the doll work for us before the water inside gets so nasty I don't want the doll in the tub again.

This doll is fine in almost every way and my 3 yr old loves it. However, once you put it in the bath you will NEVER be able to get the water back out. I see the reviewers from before 2011 don't seem to have this problem so there must have been a design change. The doll has tiny holes in the hands, feet, and bottom that take in a ton of water and make squeezing the water out a huge challenge. Also the body of the doll is a plastic with very little give which makes it even more frustrating and time consuming to get the water out. No matter what you try there will still be water in this darn doll...it couldn't be more annoying for parents and kids!
Every time we use this doll I am faced with the choice of water dripping all over the house for hours or very sore hands from squeezing and a preschooler in melt-down mode. My older daughter has the bath doll made by Circo which has only one hole and is easy to squeeze the water out. I will be throwing away the Fischer Price doll and getting another Circo doll at Target!

My granddaughter loves this doll. Finally a doll that doesn't make noise or leak fluids. I highly recommend this as a first "real" doll for a young child. It is very durable. My granddaughter is 2 and she has dragged this doll though the yard; dunked her in the pool and washed her in the bathtub. The doll still looks brand new.

I bought this bath doll for my 4.5 year old daughter when she was 1 years old, she played with it daily and I am happy to say, it is still in excellent condition. My 2 year old son also loves playing with this doll in the bathtub and in the pool. He often pretends that he is teaching the doll how to swim and he sings the songs and repeats the phrases his swimming teacher uses with him with the doll. So cute!!! My one recommendation to parents in order to help preserve the doll, is to squeeze the water out of the baby's body, legs and arms after each use. There are drainage holes in the doll for this purpose and I think that's why this doll has lasted and has not succumbed to mildew like a lot of our other bath toys. This doll is soooooooooo cute, inexpensive and well worth the price.

This doll is great! My 2 year old loves her. She doesn't have a soft body, making her more "real." My daugher dresses her, undresses her, gives her baths, takes her swimming, takes her to the playground, pushes her in the stroller, changes her diaper, etc. It beats other dolls that are double the price.
