I was lucky and found this item at Kmart for $31.99..I love it..but PLEASE dont pay $99.99!! Its ridiculous that people are charging this much and its even more ridiculous if you are paying it!!! As long as people keep paying these outragous prices, then they will keep selling them at outragous prices!!

This set is by far the best of the MH line. It is well constructed and the Amazon price for the doll, hutch, sofa, chair and coffee table with a MH magazine is absolutely unbeatable. The Clawdeen doll is fabulous fron her earrings to her shoes! You will not be disappointed and it will probably be your best MH money spent ever.Monster High Coffin Bean and Clawdeen Wolf Doll Playset

I purchased this item for my 12 year old daughter who is obsessed with Monster High dolls. It arrived on time and in excellant condition. The item was packaged well for shipping and I have no real complaints. The furniture is basically plastic, with the exception of the cardboard backing for the shelf. This seems to be the standard for toys now days. I believe it is durable enough and will provide many days of fun for my daughter. I gave this item 5 stars because it was a steal. The fact that it also included the doll made it a huge bargain! I have spent so much money on the dolls alone that I was excited to find some of the furniture with a doll for such a reasonable price!

Honest reviews on Monster High Coffin Bean and Clawdeen Wolf Doll Playset

I bought this set because I enjoy creating dioramas but I don't collect Monster High dolls. There is no doubt about it, it is an adorable playset!

This cafe is mostly made from plastic with the exception of the background for the black shelves and that is made from a coated heavy-duty cardboard, a coated heavy-duty cardboard "magazine" called Monster Beat and a black fabric apron that has a color picture of a dead coffee bean on it. All the plastic pieces seem to be quite sturdy too. There is some assembly required. The directions are all in pictures, so no reading required.

Lets examine the black shelving unit: There are 4 shelves, the upper black frame has coffee mugs, skulls and scrolly designs. The upper middle of the upper frame has a sign shaped like a vampire-style coffin with a picture of a dead coffee bean. There is an extra L shaped table/shelf that attaches to the shelving unit and this has a spider web design to it. The background is that coated heavy-duty cardboard that has a scene on each side so it is reversible and is held on with 4 spiderweb brackets that can only be seen from the back side. I did have a bit of a problem snapping the upper frame piece to the lower shelves.

The couch is light blue with embedded spider web design and along the top has a black scrolly design with a black spider in the center. There is actually a sturdy plastic back to the couch. The Monster High dolls are so thin/narrow, I think 3 dolls can sit side by side on this couch. 2 Barbie dolls can sit comfortably there too.

I just love the chair that came with this set. I believe that was the selling point for me! In some lighting at home and in the pictures I have seen, the chair looks red and black but in actuality in good lighting, the chair is a darker pink and black. The upper middle has a black skull and the chair legs/feet are bones. This chair does have a "tuffed" seat and back. The MH dolls fits this chair beautifully.

Also included is a small black coffin table that has a wood-grain finish to it and a flat black skull in the center. There is a plain green coffee dispenser, a grey cash register that has a drawer that opens but no money in it! The register screen is a purple sticker that has boxes with pictures in it, a touch screen style register. Way above, I did mention the black apron and the magazine, 2 grey coffee cauldrons w/skull imprinted (one has a green drink and the other a bright pink drink), an adorable cupcake that is made to look like a green spider and the other snack is ??? I haven't the foggiest idea what that is. Maybe a strangely shaped chocolate covered doughnut?

The doll has very thick rooted soft hair pulled back in a ponytail, a tendril of hair on each side of her head and bangs, a gold spiked ponytail holder, 2 gold rings pierced in each ear, gold double-strand necklace with a moon pendant, gold spiked cuff bracelet, gold three layer belt, pink/purple striped dress that has a black/gold "zipper" down the front and gold buckle design throughout the dress with a gold lame collar and purple shoes. The dress closes with Velcro.

The only two things that are a bit negative are the slight difficulty I had with snapping the upper frame to shelving unit and that could have been my clumsy fingers and as I said earlier, I don't collect these MH dolls and this is my very first one but her head is kind of loose on her neck almost as though her hair/head weighs too much and wants to tilt backwards. But these two things are so very minor.

I don't know if this is a new facial sculpt or if it's just an excellent paint job, but this might be my favorite of all the Clawdeen Wolf dolls. While this playset will come later this year as a two doll set (Draculaura as an exclusive at a club store) my daughter wanted Clawdeen the most so I picked this up for summer. Really happy with it the small accessories are well thought out and detailed, the furniture is sturdy and not the super brittle plastic of some Barbie sets. This has the slight give and pleasant texture of Clawdeen's bedroom set. The couch isn't sculpted as one piece, but has a line & space that makes the cushion appear to be removeable. They are not, but that detailing adds to the overall look. The red chair stands well on it's own or with a doll on it. The coffin table legs are a little flimsy, but again the detailing is perfect. My only quibble might be with the bookshelf. I thought it was a hard backed shelving unit with a sticker but it requires slight assembly. The graphic is printed on a medium weight cardboard (double sided so it is attractive from the front or back) attached to the three piece shelf unit by four small cobweb pieces that lock it in place. The top U bar is locked into the bottom shelves and the table for the cash register hooks into the front of those. This is probably most likely to be damaged, aside from the coffin table legs, but still appears pretty sturdy. Great set I think this is our favorite item. Monster High Cleo de Nile's Vanity Accessory is very detailed as well, but the play value is more limited than this coffee house themed set. Any doll makes sense hanging out on this sofa. We had to make a new shelf for my daughter's Monster High wall since all her dolls want to hang out here. If Mattel sold the chairs in different color combinations I'd be sunk my girls adore this furniture!
