My 4 year old has 2 of these Sweet as Me dolls, and the oldest is nearly 3 years old. Both are absolute favorites. (We had to buy the second one when the first was accidentally left at Grandma's on a trip.) Very durable after much rough love from a toddler. We're finally seeing the cloth body wear through where the legs are joined. My only complaint is that it is difficult to get new outfits and that the dolls stay nude most of the time due to toddler fascination with removing clothes. The dolls are nude -nude colored fabric and they do not wear any form of underwear. But, hey, they're dolls. They're cuddly, soft, durable dolls that are perfectly snuggly with lovely faces. My 1 year old is already set on stealing them for herself. Definitely worth the money for quality and beauty.

First of all, I was resistant to get my daughter a doll at all. However, her nurturing nature took over my feminist preoccupation, so I broke down and got this doll after I found it wasn't overtly feminine or too caucasian. In fact, she looks a lot like my daughter.

She was obsessed from the moment we got her out of the box. She drags her everywhere and we have gone through 2 dolls (1 lost), with a backup in the closet. The one and only issue I have with this doll is that her hair was a royal mess from the first week we got it. Her hair cut is all funky and uneven and then when my 16 month old drags her around by her hair, it makes her a total dreadlocked nightmare in no time. I wish they made these dolls with softer hair OR longer hair so we could at least tie it back. Basically, we have our "pardon our daughter's doll" schtick down.

This is the perfect doll for a 2-yr-old & still loved by my 5-yr-old. I love it's simplicity w/o the gimmics e.g. sound effects, food, etc. Huggable bean body & wonderful vanilla scent! Perfect size & weight for hugging & toting around. Durable we have 2 previous that still look great after 3 years of loving play. Hair can start to look messy, but was very surprised at how well it combed out w/ a simple comb & gentle touch. I also learned by recent comparison that beige body is a nice feature allows for summer clothing w/o odd look of white bean body.

i have a 1year old and she loves doll. so i have been looking for some dolls for her. i must say this doll is the right size for her. the hair on the doll is pretty good. i just take a brush to it every now and then so my little ones doll looks neat. i must say the doll is pretty durbal. my little one loves to walk around with this doll all day. she looks for her doll when she gets up in the morning and when she gets up from naps. she trys to hold it like a real baby. the clothes are pretty nice and she shoes come off when is good.
