We got one of the original Lilydolls for our daughter when she was one. I bought Ursula because I was sick of the plastic blue-eyed blonde dolls and couldn't imagine my daughter cuddling a piece of plastic as she drifted off to sleep. From the moment she saw the doll, my daughter fell in love and latched on. She is now 13 and a typical teen, but she still loves "Ursi". She doesn't change her clothes or play with her, but we often catch her sleeping with her and once in a great while, Ursi will accompany her to breakfast, tucked under an arm, while our teen eats. We have machine washed her and dragged her everywhere with us, (she once got lost in the cabinets at Lowe's for 2 weeks, during which time we were frantic), yet she's still looking pretty good. Granted, I did have to open a tiny seam in the back and add a little stuffing as her neck weakened and her head lolled disturbingly. Still, given the love and attention she's gotten, she's worn well. These dolls were $30 when we bought her 12 years ago.

I think it's a newer line of Lilydoll? I have bought one from ebay but it is made with a lower quality material. If your little girl is picky about her toys, like I have always been, this is the kind of cloth dolls she should be getting.
