The Positive: This is a very cute doll. This is the one thing my 5yr old has been asking Santa to bring for Christmas. I have been testing her functionality out to ensure that my daughter won't be disappointed Christmas morning. She seems to do everything she's made to do. I think my daughter will be pleased. Just be careful lifting her by her arms. They will make a clicking sound and you will think you have broken the doll.

The Negative: The negative portion of this rating isn't necessarily about the doll, but on the price of the doll. I don't understand why the African American version of this doll has to cost over $30 more than the other version. The dolls do the exact same thing and from what I've heard, they both say the same phrases. Even though my daughter wanted this doll so badly I refused to pay this exploited amount for her. To any other mothers looking for this doll, my advice would be to try EBay. Using Ebay, the final cost I paid for this doll (including shipping) was less than the original $69.99 price in Toys-R-Us.

It's a shame how people jack up the prices on a child's toy.

I was very lucky to find this adorable african american doll for $29.99 at TJ Maxx last month for for my 5yr old niece. I've been testing it out as well, and so far its great! Hopefully she'll love it in 2 days for Xmas and won't be creeped out.. It does make some strange clicking sounds, but I'm sure it's the mechanics of this robot doll..I just hope it lasts awhile!
