This is another, item I purchased for an AG doll. I was a little nervous, because, unless you have the item in front of you, you just never know if it will be a hit or miss, Thankfully, I can say, this coat was a big hit!! The quality and all the special detail really are amazing.
This is a very well made coat. The material is quite substantial and thick. It is even lined on the inside. The coat is a beautiful shade of chestnut brown, and the trim, looks sort of navy. When, I showed it to my daughters, their eyes lit up. They tried it over the doll, with a dress underneath and they were able to close it the buttons. MY girls also have a OG doll and the fit was just a nice.
The only thing issue, I had, is the cape that goes over the coat, is difficult to button. It took me 3 times to try to get the button, through the elastic loop. While the cape does add a vintage victorian look, the coat looks just a nice without it. I doubt my girls will use it. The beret looks absolutely adorable, and completes the look. And this coat comes with a care label.
If your are looking for a reasonably priced coat for your AG or OG doll, this is one coat you MUST try!! Wish I could find such a special coat for my girls!!

I was surprised at the nice quality of this coat. Better quality fabric that is good fitting and constructed to last. There are plenty of authentic details that make it just right for a Victorian/Edwardian doll representing a girl at the turn of the 20th century. It fits my granddaughter's American Girl Samantha to a tee. And the jaunty little hat sets it off beautifully! It is so attractive that I wouldn't mind having one for myself!
