This toy was bought for my 6 year old granddaughter for Christmas. It will fit her 18" doll. My granddaughter loves playing with dolls and loves clothes, so I know this will be fun for her. As far as educational value, my granddaughter already knows how to dress herself, but perhaps younger children could learn how to dress, from dressing this doll. As far as durability, it is clothing for a doll, so it should last as long as how well it is taken care of. It seems to be made well, so it should last. I rated this costume highly because of how well it was made, and the attractiveness of the costume. This was what my granddaughter chose.
