Ths was a Christmas gift for my two sons, age 3 and 1, and we love it. Everytime my older son is at a playdate with one of his girl friends, he gravitates towards the dollhouse, which are usually pink and purple and very girly. This one is a great gender neutral choice for both genders, but particularly if your son is interested in playing with a house (and why shouldn't all boys be so much of our lives happen in houses) We have a family of little chipmunks figures that have moved in, and he loves to move the balony, door, and windows around. The movable walls are genius. We couldn't be happier with this purchase.

This dollhouse is very well made and was pretty easy to put together took about an hour. Wood parts are smooth, fit well and are high quality. Movable walls, windows and door are so easy for kids to use and move. I raised 3 kids, was a preschool teacher and now purchased this as a psychotherapist who does play therapy with children. I wish I'd found it years ago! PLan Toys products are superior to many others I'd purchased and returned. Kids Kupboard provided very prompt and excellent service to me, going out of their way to remedy a small defect in one of the pieces. This is a 6 star product!

We are so happy with this dollhouse! Very glad we invested big bucks in this one. It's very durable, very well made, very easy to play with thanks to the open sides. My 3-yr old loves moving the walls and windows/doors around to create different rooms. The wood is smooth for little fingers. Very easy to move this dollhouse aroundit is light. We have several rooms of Plan Toys furniture to make this more fun. My daughter can play for long periods of time with this dollhouse. Very good buy! She actually likes that the staircase isn't attached because she likes pretending that different people can go into different rooms. The movable terrace is like having an extra room for the house and it hooks on securely to the house. The bright colors make the house more appealing and interesting. We were sold on the eco-friendly materials used in this house and the non-toxic colors. Definitely worth the investment. This dollhouse will be cherished for years.

I bought this gender neutral dollhouse for my son's 3rd birthday. He has not gotten it yet but I am sure he will love it especially with the million dollars worth of furniture I also bought. I generally love Plan Toys but I had two complaints on this otherwise great dollhouse. One, it took 45 min to assemble not because it was a difficult project but because the assembly basically requires you to line up 11 pieces none of which will stay in place. It was frustrating to spend so long on what should have been a simple project. And two, which is a mild annoyance to me, the photo shows the door and upstairs shutters as red and mine are orange. I don't like that color scheme as much personally. My son, of course, won't care. Overall a good choice if your boy wants a "house."
