First I must begin by warning parents planning on buying this as a Christmas gift it turned up in the Barbie box no Amazon packaging, no cardboard so you might be aware in case the kids see the gift on the doorstep and any surprise is ruined (or some explaining of Santa vs gift on Christmas Day)

That little hiccup aside, we are rather impressed! This was a birthday gift and honestly I was a little alarmed when my daughter choose it as we have not been overly impressed with the quality of many Barbie Play sets the Dream House was way outlived by Kid Kraft version, the Jet was a falling apart mess, the vacation homes were flimsy and cheap so of course my thoughts were "here we go again, more over priced , cheap plastic". But this time I was happily surprised (though granted these are early days in its durability)

Its a large play set which extends to over 3 ft, giving your child plenty of room to grab a bunch of barbies and get them on their cruise. There are multiple areas for Barbie and her friends to hang out, including a sun lounge complete with lounger, eating area and of course, my daughters favorite the pool complete with slides and a working fountain....yes parents, this one takes water, so the kids will love it , though you might want to keep an eye on them as sometimes kids and games that take water can be a mess...but I loved this sort of thing as a child and my daughter loves it now! The Barbies also have a sleeping area and a swing so lots to explore !!

The one thing that might have been a good idea would be the inclusion of barbies little sisters which are well sized for the pool and slides. I did 2 dolls included in the set in one warehouse store but the price was $20 more so just as cheap as buying this set together with the Barbie sister two pack complete with wet suits and scuba pieces which would make an excellent addition to this set!

Its not too bad to set up but as usual rather than print on the design, you do get those annoying sheet of stickers which are fiddly to put on as you tend to take forever getting them just right!! Maybe Mattel things kids think this is fun to do but lets be honest, mom and dad always end up with this project!!

Overall this is a well sized playset, more durable than some of its predecessors and plenty to do!! Your little girl will love this and as I am seeing, this provides endless hours of play!

This new cruise ship is the cutest thing... I bought it for my daughter's 5 year birthday in December but I just couldn't wait (LONG TIME BARBIE FANATIC).

Anyway.... It opens up really huge and has lots of fun little accessories included. The Dolphin fountain really works and it is pretty easy to empty the pool. Everything packs right back in when you are done playing -so it makes storing a breeze. One word of caution there are a couple of stickersone in particular the "tile" above the pool was very difficult for me to put on ... it has to fit in a tight spot that is also curved and it is a big sticker I ripped mine but I don't think anyone will notice. Just be careful and do not let your little one do that one herself. To sum up this review... I love this ship and my daughter is over the moon for it! Barbie is the luckiest doll in the world!!!

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I gave this to my 7 yr old daughter for her birthday. At that age, almost anything Barbie is a hit, but this was a HUGE hit with her and her 6 yr old sister. It's large and has all the necessary activities for Barbie swimming (water play), eating area, sleeping, lounging only thing missing is shopping. For shopping we can pretend they have jaunts to different islands. The water area is definitely a big draw for my girls as others have noted, the sticker above the pool is a little difficult to apply. Mine ended up with a crease in the sticker, but once I smoothed it in really hard, it's barely noticeable. The fold out swing is a really cute addition too.

I love the fact that it all folds back in together. Easy, neat storage is a huge plus in my book. It also means we'll lose less parts if it can all stay together.

Overall, we're really happy with the play-ability of this set, it's very durable, pretty easy for the kids to set up and put away, and stores great. This has been one of the few barbie sets I'd call worth the money.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program Be prepared to have a lot of room to store this cruise ship, it expands to about 4 feet. You can remove the swimming pool to help save space. I found some of the stickers difficult to place correctly.

My girls play with this set daily for hours and it still looks brand new. It's very durable! I put a couple of towels under the swimming pool to help catch "splashes".

Overall this is a huge hit with my girls ages 4 and 6. It's well made, sturdy and well worth the $60+ price.

This was a reasonably priced Christmas gift, but it was time consuming to set up not a problem, but just be aware of that. Also, the typical barbies do not work with this you need to buy the smaller ones! We did not realize that!
