We actually found her at a local walmart and purchased her on a whim ----well some bribery for my daughter to be good in the store thrown in too..LOL. Larger then a fashion doll but smaller then American Girl ones. Adorable and very detailed. SHe even has teeny"cracks" all over. And wonder of wonders in today's doll market,,,,,,undiespainted on pretty blue ones like bloomers..cute!
We got a pleasant surprise when we opened her and found out that even though she is not made of real china she is also not made of that nasty barbie type rubbery plastic. Her skin is kind of a hard brittle plastic and actually sounds similar to real ceramic bisque when you tap it with your fingernail (or even more fun, tap her head with her hand). Not sure of the durability of the plastic but I think as long as you don't fling her against the wall or stomp on her head,she should be fine .
Only downside we found so far is the packaging. We wanted to keep the box semi intact to display her in....NO such luck!. I had to practically mutilate it to small pieces to get her out. YEESH, I think I would have had less trouble breaking into Fort Knox. Regardless, she is still super cute and a great buy at $20.

After watching the movie and absolutely falling in love with the China girl character, I bought her as soon as I knew there was a doll of her available. She is absolutely beautiful and so so cute! This doll is made really well, from her big pretty blue eyes to her lovely blue dress. She is fully articulated and can be posed in a variety of positions. I highly recommend this doll to all fans of Disney's Oz the Great and Powerful and China girl! One thing about the doll was the packaging, it was like breaking into Fort Knox, you have to perform surgery to get her out of her box! The box is ruined pretty much. So if your a collector, I suggest buying two of them, one for display and one to keep boxed away. I have her sitting on my computer desk smiling and waving at me! Makes me smile everyday! When I first saw this doll online I fell in love with her! I ordered her the first chance I got, and after I got her in the mail I just knew it exceeded all my expectations. It is important to note that the dress in the photo is not the dress that comes in the mail. The dress is a lighter blue, which is more accurate to the movie. She is fully possible and has full articulation. China Girl was undoubtedly the highlight of Disney's "Oz The Great and Powerful." For anyone looking to bring this wonderful character home, this 14 inch China Doll is precisely the toy you want!At 14 inches tall, she isn't far removed from being life size, looking very much like the character from the movie. Though she is made out of a slightly cheap feeling hallow plastic, her off-white color and level of shininess do create a convincing illusion of being made out of porcelain. To further the realism, she has what appear to be numerous hairline cracks all over her. There are even two slightly more prominent cracks on her legs, recalling a key scene from the film. The details really are top notch.
China Doll's appearance also differs slightly from the product image above. The top half of her dress is made from a fabric similar to the lower half, making it look much more accurate to the film. Similarly, her lips also appear to be painted a bit different again making the real product look more screen accurate. The amount of detail on her face is outstanding, and she really feels like she could come alive. All of her joints are articulated, and while they can be a bit stiff at times, she can be posed just about any way you want.
The only downside of this doll is that you really can't preserve the packaging if you want to display her inside of it. It has to be pretty thoroughly destroyed to get her out as she's sealed up in there tighter than any other toy I've ever purchased. It's easy to miss, but there is also a small plastic "charm" of sorts included that resembles the letters "Cg" presumably for China Girl.
Ultimately, if you're looking for a toy of China Girl, you can't go wrong with this 14" doll. She really does look just like the character from the film and she's very well made.
