I just adore this little doll. I bought it for my 4 year old daughter who is 1/2 Laos. First of all finding a doll that is supposed to represent Laos was so neat. Second the accesories on the doll are adorable. my only complaint is the earrings come out too easily and Im scared they are going to eventually get lost. The hair on the doll is so soft and brushes well. We get so many dolls where the hair just tangles on the ends, Im not sure what casues this but the hair on these dolls does not do that. I cannot wait for more Laos accesories for the doll, I hope they plan to make them.

My family and I sponsor through World Vision, but that's not what attracted my daughter to this doll. We were walking through Target and saw a closed box, which of course makes you wonder "Huh, what's in there?" Opening the front flap gave us a view of a gorgeous doll. It's very solidly constructed, the eyes are absolutely gorgeous big and liquid and friendly appearing. Rooted hair, easily moving joints, and even educational, since it comes with a book on the doll's country.
My daughter spent some time agonizing over which doll to pick. She chose this one, Tipi, but told the Indian version that "she'd be back for her later". My 7 year old now has at least one doll that looks like one of her "sisters", and is thrilled. We'll probably come back for both the Indian and Ethiopian dolls, since one of our family is in India and another is in Botswana. Here's hoping they do a Columbian doll, but Tipi is making my daughter very happy right now.

My future daughter-in-law is a Filipina and this doll, Tipi, resembles her in eye color, skin tone and hair color. I bought it to use as a bride doll, which I made as a gift for her bridal shower. Tipi is a lovely, durable doll who arrives dressed in a casual pedal-pusher outfit and flip flops. She comes with several colorful bracelets, a braided bracelet and a couple of hair ties. She also comes with a comb that easily glides through her beautiful, shiny hair. Her legs, arms and head move quite naturally and she can be placed in a sitting position. Her eyes do not close. This doll has a sweet, natural facial expression and is very pretty. She was an excellent choice for a bride doll and I can't wait to give her to my future daughter-in-law.

I bought this for my niece who is half Laotian. In the quest for the perfect doll for my own mixed race baby, I found this doll. I think it's wonderful that there are dolls now available for different cultures other than your standard black, white, or hispanic doll. Although it's a hard find and pricier than other dolls, It's definitely worth it. My niece has a doll that is part of her culture. Her mom tells me she loves it :)

I bought this doll for my 5 year old. Then I bought another so she could exchange clothes. Made well with beautiful features for a great price for a good cause.
