We got this Barbie for our 3 1/2 year old daughter after we rented the Barbie Rapunzel movie and she fell in love with Rapunzel. She has had Rapunzel for almost a month and carries her everywhere including to the park and to bed. Her favorite part is clicking Rapunzel's hair extensions together to make a long "rope" to rescue her Ariel doll or other stuffed animals from atop the kitchen counter. The hair extensions are easy to attach and detach yet don't come undone too easily so they are not frustrating (I attest the "hair rope" can support the weight of her Disney Ariel doll without easily coming detached). There are four spots to attach the hair onto Rapunzel's head and most of the five hair extensions come with several attachment points so you can attach her hair in endless combinations, including making loops. Rapunzel comes with a tiara and necklace that come off easily. These were lost within the first few days but my daughter doesn't seem to mind. This is her first Barbie doll and it was disappointing for me to see that they have changed her rubber legs of the 80s to hollow legs which do not seem to keep shoes on well at all. I don't know if this is all Barbies or just Rapunzel. Over all, my daughter and I are extremely pleased with Rapunzel and would buy one for a friend or relative as a gift if given the opportunity.

Bought this Barbie doll as a gift for a friend's 6 year old daughter. The 6 year old loved it and plays with it a lot. No complaints after 2 weeks.

My daughter really wanted this doll. The snap on hair extentions seem like a great idea but the execution is poorly done. The plastic snap pieces are fixed to the hair with folded over hair and a rubber band. After one day of light play one had already been pulled off by my 7 year old. Not to mention the hair tangling all up! Braiding all the pieces would have helped. I wish the makers of Barbie would spend less time making the doll look beautiful in the box and more time thinking about how the little girls are going to play with them.

The idea of "cutting" her hair is cool. It's just not very practical at all. The separate strands of hair get all tangled up and there isn't a way of untangling them. My daughter, 6, got bored with her pretty quickly. If the hair strands were better, this would be a lot better toy.
