I FINALLY scored one of these & I have to say it ROCKS!! It is very detailed, as many of these MH dolls are, but this one is really exceptional! The details on the hair decoration, the scales, tail, WOW! I didn't take her out of the box as she's an Xmas gift.

Jinafire is pretty rare, so I had to work to get her, but let me reassure other parents: Be patient. Do NOT pay over $25 for these dolls! It encourages the "scalper" types.

Here's what you can do: Toys R Us open 'til 1am in December. Ask when their shipments come on & get there around Midnight. The boxes with the new dolls are labeled "Scaris". Each box has either 2 Jinafire or 2 Skelita dolls + the usual Rochelle, Clawdeen dolls. If you spot a "Scaris" box, just ask a worker to open it, they are very helpful don't be shy. ;).

This Monster High Doll, Jineafire Long" matches "Skelita Calveras" perfectly...She stands on my antique desk with the rest of my skulls..Her face is pretty and exotic..Perfectly, detailed, designed asian descent face..Hair color, Gothic black with neon green highlights in a bun with an asian chopstick going thru it....Entire body is fully poseable, party dress, funky jewelry, even has asnake coiled bracelet on upper, coffin suitcase, and brush..The back of the box tells her story....She is best friends with "Skelita Calveras"......

It comes with a strong doll stand..Once she is placed in it, the doll is balanced and doesn't fall off my desk...My niece has all these dolls for a while now, including this one..Believe me, with the way she constantly plays with them, they are fun and durable....

When friends come into my office they are always fascinated with "Jinafire Long"

Jinafire Long the dragon girl seems to be the scarcest, most sought after Monster High doll in the new Scaris line.

As others have mentioned, she is stunning. Her detail is wonderful pointed ears, ball and claw shoes, chrysanthemum head dress, subtle scaling, and that tail!

It was hard to take her out of the box, but I think Jinafire is a doll that can benefit from de-boxing ASAP. It might take away some of the "collector value", but I think any collectors would be better off displaying her. I have worries about what the state of her gorgeous green hair would be after an extended period in the box. Her hair was secured with a clear band, but also pulled through the cardboard backing and taped.

I have other dolls that seem to have a permanent crimp in their hair from the way they were secured in the box. Don't let this happen to your Jinafire after a long search to add her to your collection.

I wasn't expecting Jinafire to be my favorite in this line but she has quickly become just that. The photos on the website make her look good, but they do not come close to doing her justice. The detail on her is amazing and there were tons of little surprises. First off, I did not realize how her skintone would be. It is a very heavily metallic gold. She sparkles. Her dark maroon lipstick and eyeshadow contrast beautifully with her skin. There are scales embossed on her arms and legs. Her hair is both a fangtastic color and the style is beyond compare. I love the hair chopstick and the side bun. I was worried about her tail falling off (as I had a serious problem with Toralei's tail) but so far I have had no issues. The tail did not fall off through de-boxing or putting her on the stand. It is kind of in an awkward place to put her on the stand so I kind of had to twist her waist so her tail went next to the rod on the stand, but its okay. I am an adult collector though, so I don't know how it would stay on through rigorous play, but it seems pretty secure to me. Her luggage is awesome. There are actually little rolling wheels on the bottom and an ornate raised dragon design on the front. The booklet that comes with her is a combination diary/sketchbook. In the booklet she talks about her "gilin" which appears to be some kind of pet. I noticed that neither Jinifire or Skelita came with pets. It would have been nice if they had them. Her shoes are really cute. They feature a detailed heel, and the soles are ball and claw feet....such a cute idea!! Really there is nothing that I can say bad about this doll. I love her and I really hope we see another version of Jinafire in the future!!

This doll is absolutely stunning in person. Her skin is a deep golden/bronze color and she has "scales" all over her body. Her eyes are gorgeous as is her hair. Her tail does come off so be sure to keep up with it! Overall this is one of the most beautiful Monster High dolls we have purchased.
