We ordered this for Chrismas for my 7 year old daughter's American girl doll. It fits perfectly and was very easy to put on. We are a Japanese American family and this kimono and attached obe were very nice and authentic. The slippers are cute too! The pictures do not do it justice. We will be ordering the red one for her other doll:)

My granddaughter was thrilled as she is taking the Japanese language at school in Australia. She has two American Girl dolls so I bought two outfits for her birthday.

I bought this for my daughter's doll as a birthday gift. My daughter was thrilled with it and even my Japanese mother in law was impressed. It is not machine washable, so Daisy, the doll, wears it on very special occasions when my young son isn't around. Sticky hands, you know. I am so glad I purchased it instead of trying to make one myself. The kimono fits perfectly and even came with the obi and sandals. Best of all it does look nice with my daughters kimono. Next cherry blossom festival my daughter wants to dress up with Daisy so everyone can see them in their kimono. I might even wear mine, maybe.
