we showed her a selection here and she chose the mermaid (she loves the water) and when it arrived it's as-advertised! she LOVES it!
toy looks well made and durable, joints look flimsy but have stood up to my large fatherly hands helping take some of the clothes off the doll (in a perfectly helpful and non-perverse way of course)
i personally don't like the texture of the glitter laminate but otherwise it's a winner!

Alone this set is pretty naff but bought alongside the splash and play set it is much more fun. My 4 yr old daughter recieved both as a gift and they are out everyday. She plays at the table and in the bath.Best Deals for Polly Pocket Polly Sea Chic Boutique
We got this for one of our twin girls on their third birthday and she loved it! She is what we like to refer to as a "micro player", she collects lots of tiny items and puts them in things and carries them around, hoards them, that sort of thing. This hit the spot and she loves mermaids too, so... This set seemed so much nicer than the other Polly Pocket sets we have bought since, nicer because of the higher quality carry case (stitched and not just heat sealed, and zippered not snaps) and the "real" hair on the doll for example. The tail piece seems more durable than the Disney Ariel doll with removable silicone tail we have (actually, many clothing pieces from our Disney sets have started to fail, but none of the Polly stuff yet). Some of the clothing pieces have tiny straps that ripped right away as well as the handle on the purse, that's why I knocked the durability down. The accessories are great, like the dolphins and seals, though their glitter kind of got everywhere, and OMG was that little treasure chest just the greatest, way more than Polly Pocket stuff has been hidden in there on so many occasions! So, for a Polly Pocket fan or a mermaid addict this would be a most excellent choice, highly recommend.Honest reviews on Polly Pocket Polly Sea Chic Boutique
I find Polly pockets to be expensive, but this set was priced fairly well. My daughter loves them and if I look at it in terms of dollar per play value, it helps!The set is fun, we have used Polly mermaid in the bathtub as well as dollhouse play.

My grand-daughter asked for Polly pockets, so I got this one for her. It wasn't expensive, but once you remove the printed cardboard pieces, there does't seem to be much substance to this... Lots of tiny pieces bound to get lost very fast.
