I bought this castle for my 4 year old daughter this past Christmas. I read many negative reviews about it, but I had already previously purchased all the sets of dolls for her, so I thought I needed a play set to put them in. After getting this out of its box, I realized that I should have just cut up a cardboard box and used that instead. This is the cheapest castle ever! It weighs nothing, the towers do not ever stay on. It's very very flimsy, and some of the Disney dolls, for which it was intended, don't even fit. I can't believe this is a Disney toy. One of the worst toys I have ever purchased. Buyer beware. Very, very disappointed. This is actually my second review I have ever written. I am more of a to each his own type person. I felt compelled to write this. This is one product I should have thought twice about. $45 later, it's not worth $5 at a garage sale, which is exactly where this one is going to end up.Best Deals for Disney Princess Royal Castle
Wow, this toy is not nearly as bad as the other reviewers make it out to be. Ours hasn't fallen apart & the dolls are of good quality...similar to the new Polly pocket dolls. My daughter loves it; she's only 1 and plays with it every day. It really holds her attention. My only complaint is that when the dollhouse is opened, the rooms are smaller than I would have liked, but for the price, you can't ask for too much more. It also comes with furniture. A pretty cute set overallHonest reviews on Disney Princess Royal Castle
Yes, my daughter who is three loves this. I knew it was a cheap piece of plastic, so I searched for the best deal I could get and tried not to be too critical when I opened it. It's not too large, the furniture looks like something from the Dollar store, but my daughter has lots of fun making princess parties. There is very little room inside, so most of the playing is around the outside of it. The turret keeps falling, so superglueing it is a good idea. It's basically a good set for letting your little one's imagination go.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Disney Princess Royal Castle
My daughters previously had the Favorite Moments castle that came out a year or so ago, the giant blue behemoth. Parts flew off of it, none of the mechanics worked beyond the first ten minutes of opening it, and it was flimsy. Even super gluing the turrets didn't do much good, they still managed to fall off, etc. That's for another review. That castle had problems. Which is why we bought this one. The princesses have slightly downgraded their living quarters, as this pink castle is quite a bit smaller than the old one. However! It comes with tons of pretty furniture, a Cinderella doll that has painted on shoes (no tiny shoes falling off!), and the castle folds up! Which not only saves space but also makes it look much more attractive from every angle. It easily can go on a shelf or a dresser and look attractive. Also all the furniture and the dolls stay put inside so it makes a great storage place for the extra princess dolls (and they have 5 or 6 extra dolls and dresses and they fit easily). If you snap the turrets and spires on correctly (lots of force) they stay that way. So far we have had the toy for a couple of days and nothing has popped off and that's after many hours of play.Overall, VERY pleased with this product. It seems like the toy company and designers listened to some of the complaints from their first "Mini princess" or "Polly style Princess" castle first attempt and have addressed those issues. It doesn't have all the gimmicks that the Favorite Moments blue castle had, but the durability, lots of furniture and ease of carrying makes up for it! My daughter wanted to take her princess set to a friend's house and was able to with no issues, something that would have been an impossible request before! If you are looking for a real castle for the smaller princesses, this is definitely the way to go! The extra houses you can get for expansion of the "princess town" are extraordinarily cute as well!
