9 inch Isabel Doll - Girls of Many Lands Review

Isabel is a beautiful collector's doll. She has many small details, her face is so pretty, her dress is velvet and gorgeous and she is historically correct. Her book is awesome! I recommend reading it to get a glimpse into 1500's England, of a adventerous girl struggling to find her place in the world.

My daughter is 9 and although some of the books in the series ("Girls of many lands") are geared to 12 year old audience (some of them deal with the girls being married off at a young age), the language is easy to understand and enjoyed by younger children. Isabel, Cecil and Kathleen's stories are our favorite. The dolls that came with the books are gorgeous. Isabel's dress is from the softest velvet, dressed up with lace and a golden belt, adorned with a real mirror, keys and a pomader that opens as a locket and can store spices in it.

I just wish the dolls were not retired as we would love to have them all!
