You can get this doll at the American Girl doll store or their website for $105!! Why is it so expensive on amazon? I would highly recommend these dolls to girls of any age though. My daughter loves her and loves reading the books that go along with it. But this is not a reasonable price. Especially from amazon who usually tries to have a better deal. I am dissapointed in this.

Amazon is charging DOUBLE the price I can get at American Girl. This is a very popular item, so it is very surprising that Amazon is not aware or that they are trying to purposely take advantage of customers. How sad...I'll stop shopping here.

I bought this doll for $80 and I absolutely love her! she is beautiful and i only had to brush the hair. Also as a bonus she came with matching dress for girls dog extra book and another dress for her. the seller and amazon were amazing with this too over all kit is amazing!!!!

I cannot say how much fun this toy as I am "older" and do not play with dolls. I can say my granddaughter seems to enjoy it very much. Educational value: again in the eye of the beholder, I believe my granddaughter is learning to take care of a fairly expensive "toy" and she seems to appreciate the idea of that care. Again, the durability is a moot question, it is only a month and a half since I bought the doll, with the associated cost, I would expect it to last for a very long time.
