The plastics and eyes seem just about of the same quality as well. The clothing fabrics appears to be a small step down, but are still much nicer and more well made than the Madame Alexander 18" dolls' clothes in the same price range. Plus, she comes with bonus PJ's, which is wonderful! She is also much prettier in person than she is in the picture listed. The photo of her face makes her look kind of squished and weird, but in person she is just as pretty as the other Karito Kids. I've actually been toying with the idea of buying the blonde one as well while she's still cheap either as a gift for an upcoming birthday, or as a Christmas gift for my own.
I put a slightly higher mark on the educational value for Lara than what I would normally do for dolls. I like that the company emphasizes giving and volunteerism, although I kind of feel that dolls are a slightly shallow medium for this message. Then again, kids learn the most through play, and at least these dolls carry a far better message than most dolls out there right now; even Strawberry Shortcake's line is all about clothes and shopping, so it's refreshing to see a company at least trying to promote a positive message.

My Niece just celebrated her birthday and I purchased this for her. All day long this doll was with her and she absolutely love it.
