I love this series, and now with more male Barbie options, I love it even more. This is the first time I've seen a "Ken" who wasn't blonde and didn't have short hair. Stats: This new souped up version of Ken is ripped with a more realistic six pack, and well defined arms, neck muscles. The head can move up/down/side to side. The brown hair is chin length in the front with a little more length in back. The doll I purchased had its hair shallacked in what I'm assuming was some sort of mousse. This is a collector item, so the doll isn't meant to move, or at least not much. The arms and legs do not bend at all; they are in a permanent posed position. You can raise and lower his arms straight up and down, or lift them up from the sides. The legs are permanently fixed in the position pictured, sort of one foot forward. You can move the other foot forward, but the back leg is a little bit shorter than the front one. In the "junk" department, because you know you were wondering, poor thing only has a nubbin. Clothing: The black muscle shirt has two snaps on back meaning you'd have to slide it over the head of the doll to get it off(no velcro closure). The jeans are very detailed with snap closure, stitching, and front and back pockets. The shoes are black boots which come up just above the ankle. The doll, as do all dolls in this series, comes with a stand. The stand base is black, and the holder which you affix to the base is clear plastic. Also included in the box is a certificate of authenticity.

Really hip and cool male doll. Extremely happy with purchase! Mattel outdid themselves on this one! Great face, hair, body and clothing. I was definitely not disappointed and neither was Barbie. Wonderful adult collector's doll.

Best of all...He's not a BLONDE!!Which proves you do NOT have to be a blonde to look handsome or have that look. Beauty comes in all colors shapes and sizes.

This guy would have been better if his eyes weren't focused upward. That makes it just creepy. His hair is beautiful and the body while well made cannot be posed because his arms and legs are not jointed, le sigh!

I wanted some more Ken dolls in my Barbie collection. I hadn't bought any Ken dolls since the 80s, when I had a few of those blonde plastic haired Kens. I decided to buy two of the male basics models. My favorite is this one. First because he has dark brown hair, which is a nice change from all the blonde I remember. (Same when I get a brunette Barbie). I think he has a nice face mold, but could've been better. He's a little odd looking with that hairdo, but you can style it better once out of the box. I like his outfit, it suits him.

I bought an extra set of accessories for him. These models are a lot of fun to collect. I look forward to de-boxing several and changing their clothes and hair. It reminds me a lot of when I played with Barbies as a child. These are marketed for adult collectors. But I'm sure kids would like to play with some of these as much as any other Barbies and Kens.
